Hi All, I am working on a 4-8-4 (6-wide, BBB wheels, in black) and I'm stuck trying to design or come up with ideas for the cow catcher. I know there are many great cowcatcher ideas out there. Unfortunately there just isn't a centralized place to go (...) (18 years ago, 17-Aug-06, to lugnet.trains)

Wow! These gaps are wide enough to push coins of any size through! I tried this solution out for myself, and it didn't produce the best results for rolling friction. Not to say it isn't a good solution, because I do see major improvements, but just that there is a better one. Adding the metal sleeve around the (...)
