Re: AFX Lego Racing

(Bump) I thought this would have generated a lot more interest. The movie was kinda cool. It's not everyday you see a Lego race car, loose control at high speed, exit the race track and get hit head-on by the Hogwarts Express. So I'll bump this (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains)

 Re: Mindstorm Crane

(...) There are a number of modes of operation triggered from the remote control. 1 - Select 1,2 or 3 and it picks up the crate from spot 1,2 or 3. Select 1,2 or 3 again at it puts it down at spot 1,2 or 3. It will not allow you to tripple stack or (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains)

 Re: Mindstorm Crane

(...) Very funky..... Is it a preprogrammed sequence or is it in some way intelligent about what it moves where. Do you mind if I copy a few ideas? :D Thank you for sharing. (19 years ago, 18-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains)

 Re: Small town building reference

(...) --SNIP-- (...) Thanks for posting these Ondrew. It almost tempts me to try building some US style buildings. I find it really hard to find pictures of regular buildings online so I'm glad you've decided to add some. Tim (19 years ago, 18-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, FTX)

BayLUG/BayLTC train shows: Sep 2005 San Jose GW&ATS and Dec-Jan Palo Alto museum show

I recently put up my pictures of BayLTC's latest shows on my Flickr and Brickshelf accounts, and posted about them on my blog. Great Western & Atlantic Train Show - San Jose, CA - September 24-25, 2005 (2 URLs) Blog entry> (URL) Flickr> (URL) (...) (19 years ago, 17-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: New Trains and BBB Wheels? (was: Re: Still more)

(...) Yep, I can only dream that the adjusted the gear ratio in the new motors. The current 9v train motors run way to fast, I'd gladdly trade that for a bit more torque. But even at differnt speeds, the BBB wheels have less traction, allowing them (...) (19 years ago, 13-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

 Small town building reference

Hey all, Over the last month or so I’ve started taking pictures of all of the interesting buildings in my suburban Chicago area. I'm taking these photos for several reasons but most importantly I’ve taken them for you, the community. My hope is that (...) (19 years ago, 17-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, FTX) !

Re: Merry Christmas 2005 pics finally posted:)

Wonderful! The skating pond is so simple yet so effective. All the details throughout the scene are wonderful. Did you drill holes in the 1x1 transperent rounds to make the Xmas light strings? I didn't get a chance to do one this year but you have (...) (19 years ago, 16-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.org.us.delvalug)

Re: Loading cargo from and to train electrically

(...) Funny how oceans apart we come up with the same ideas. I stopped using light sensors for the RCX and laterly use an isolated track to stop trains at two stations. The third ouput being used for a level crossing. I really like the loader idea, (...) (19 years ago, 17-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.trains)

 Mindstorm Crane

Well with the amount of positive feedback I got from the very popular Robots group, I thought I would share this here too. Afterall it does involve trains, and well there is even train loading on the front door here (nice one by the way) So if you (...) (19 years ago, 17-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: what happened to the Ultimate Train Builders Set and Train Factory Palette?

(...) To clarify - 2005 was never the promised or proposed date. We've been working hard on figuring out the best approach to the process of both the UTB set and the Train Factory palette. We're still looking at 2006. Sorry for the lack of updates (...) (19 years ago, 16-Jan-06, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.trains)

Re: what happened to the Ultimate Train Builders Set and Train Factory Palette?

(...) Really, in 2005? I didn't get the feeling it would be that soon. I also didn't come away from the speech with any feeling about time frame. Sooner would be better of course. Chris (19 years ago, 15-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: what happened to the Ultimate Train Builders Set and Train Factory Palette?

(...) I got the impression that this was going to be early 2006. (19 years ago, 15-Jan-06, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.trains)

what happened to the Ultimate Train Builders Set and Train Factory Palette?

Acording to Brickfest 2005, the plan was to release the Ultimate Train Builders Set and the Train Factory palette in 2005. Can someone from TLC (Jake?) comment on why this set (and the factory palette) is not available yet and when it is gooing to (...) (19 years ago, 15-Jan-06, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.trains)

 AFX Lego Racing

My train layout is fully automated with mindstorm so there was not much to do but watch. That was until I made some Lego race cars with AFX motors. <>(URL) More pictures here
(URL) Movie here (12meg)
(URL) Visit Bodville online at: (...) Re: Thoughts on Battery-powered IR-controlled trains

what if the operating system was something like the rokenbok line? they have a central hub with hand controllers that use miniature 'walkie talkies' to control individual units. although, commands are only delivered while communication is maintained (...) 9V train motor

Hi all, After discovering the hard way (by making an impossible model) that the current electric train motor model has a couple of major mistakes (the wheels are too small and the clips are too small and in the wrong place) I decided to make my own (...) Re: Seven wide Koef Shunter

(...) It has been brought to my attention that sadly the arches won't work. It seems that the electric train motor DAT is very incorrect (the wheels are too small and the hooks are too low). So if anyone was going to try it, please don't bother. (...) (19 years ago, 14-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
