What I really want to know is whether TLC considers one way correct and the other way wrong?

In wiring up our layout for DCC this month, we discovered that the LEGO track wires are not consistently polarized. They seemed considerably more one way than the other, but there were some each way. Are they supposed to be one way only, or does (...) (20 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
