(...) That's why my big diesels have 2 motors without question. It also makes life easier if both bogies are the same (not for class 28 CoBo!). (...) I've had one motor where the cutout failed. After removal it worked fine. I now remove all of these on my DCC conversions. And rely on the overload protection on the decoder. I was also experimenting with swapping the can motor from a dead (...) (20 years ago, 8-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
