Precious Princess Palace on bricklink had a slew of them all for $80 so they
are still around.
Good to know about the gray. Luckily my dark ages pretty much started in the
early/mid 90s so I missed most of the color additions and when I did buy
lots of Lego I somehow never ended up with that much gray. So now I figure I
might as well just dive into the new grays and deal with it. As much as I
dislike the notion.

I think you are probably right, especially with regards to track. I f you start
off with new dark grey track you can buy it all cheap from those AFOLs with
large collections who hate it!. Plus it should (hopefully) be avaialble new for
a a good while.
