If you are willing to trade old for new, I suspect that there are a few of us
who would do so... (I would)

Perhaps shorten the rail when you attach the 9V rail...
(a large file, and 1mm is gone fast in ABS...)

I've cut 9V track (to fit my plan). I don't know how stable it would be with
all the ties cut out of it. You might have to sacrifice a 6*16 baseplate and
glue both to it. (or a 8*16). I really don't know. But, the new 9V track is
reasonalby cheap (I know...even at $2 a piece...but it beats Peco points at
$45/each (slips) :)
Try it...let us all know.

GMLTC has cut all the central ties away from a straight and with it mounted to baseplates it is fine. Not that (...) (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)
