need to be.

But containers aren't the same width as the cars.  The containers go
in drop well cars so the cars have to be wider than the containers.

But the extra width can be as little as 4 inches a side (in fact on some spine cars it's 0) which in a total width of 10 feet is less than LEGO resolution. That's not even a plate on its side, much less (...) (25 years ago, 1-Sep-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

(...) well, modesty IS a virtue and I've got them all, but I digress. Trucks should be the SAME width as trains, at least the trailers should be. Take a look at a container, and a boxcar sometime. To LEGO resolution, same width. Those 4 wide (...) (25 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)
