(...) other things!) - build whatever looks good and runs well. If it looks too short, add some height. If it tips over in the corners or hits something over the track, it's too tall! Modelling real world trains in 'L-Gauge' is all about two words: (...) (22 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

Gak! I don't think there are any decided 'standards' out there yet, nor even any 'recommended practices', but looking at the image, a full 9 bricks is far too high for a hi-cube car. I've seen plenty of hi-cube boxcars, both auto parts and (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

(...) (URL) is a basic design, based on that of tom cooks, the wheel and coupler design is his, the rest is new. i still need to add a under body so the design WILL change :P the 4 door design will go as a "lego" car as for a 8 door car will go as a (...) (22 years ago, 15-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)
