10027 Train Engine Shed now available for pre-order

Hello all, I'm not really a train collector, but I did notice that 10027 is now listed on the Shop at Home website, at least for the US. The ship date is listed as the 18th of June. I did think that it was a bit strange that there are not (or at (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-03, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Narrow Gauge Steam Critter in Dark Blue

(...) OK Larry, just for you. I now have a fully working miniature railway, and, believe it or not, it's all powered from the track. But, you're not going to see it until after Duncan Titmarsh's Fest at Aldershot. So there. Jason R (22 years ago, 21-Mar-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Hand car

Hey there Shawn, Great idea about the use of the panels! I will look into trying that. So it will go through a switch but not a cross track? Hmmm...how to convince Lego to make a train wheel that will fit a technic axle?...imagine the possibilities! (...) (22 years ago, 20-Mar-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Hand car

(...) Hi John, I love the way your car looks! I tried putting one together last night - I'm *almost* convinced that the size can be squeezed down to 4x8, with either of our cars, as long as some creativity goes into it. I did have a problem with the (...) (22 years ago, 20-Mar-03, to lugnet.trains)

"Trolley" Instructions Now on BI Portal

Alco RS3 and Articulated Spine Cars

Greetings! After sitting around collecting dust for the past year on a shelf at the GMLTC headquarters, I have finally taken the Alco RS-3 and articulated spine car MOCs I built out for a spin this past weekend at our show in La Crosse, WI. The (...) (22 years ago, 20-Mar-03, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 4 Wheel rail hand car

Hello John, hello everybody, (...) Have you ever tried to just leave the tires off. I recall that I did that back in the late 70s (before my dark age) when I ran out of real train wheels. But then, this solution almost certainly is less than ideal (...) (22 years ago, 19-Mar-03, to lugnet.trains)
