(...) Yeah, I'm holding out: saw it, built it, done that; all to 1:1 scale ;-) I must say, I've never thought of modelling the VLA antenna array. Great idea, Roy. The VLA is located about 45 to 50 miles from where I live. (...) Wheh! More power to (...) (22 years ago, 20-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: An interesting building idea...

I thought we had someone on .trains from sunny New Mexico? James... you holding out on us? :) Now that would take a large layout, a lot of tan base plates, and a ton of UFO sections for the antennas! SteveB (...) (22 years ago, 20-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Small Train Bridge Scene

Well, I thought this over many times before building, its is only 3 bricks high... When I get to building I was thinking of a 2-3 brick height on the whole layout anyways! But thanks, I may have to use that idea on another bridge!! It does SEEM to (...) (22 years ago, 20-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: An interesting building idea...

(...) Do you mean 2 pairs (4 tracks, 8 rails) or just 4 rails (2 tracks, or 1 pair of tracks)??? The picture only shows 1 pair of tracks (in each direction... there's another pair running the other way) Neat device, thanks for sharing! (...)   An interesting building idea...

Hi all, I just posted pics of an interesting vehicle I am hoping to build. (...) hehehe... Good one!!! but it's not a Lar-ism, as much as I'd like to take credit. Selective Compression is a well known scale MR term that dates back, oh, to the 1940s and the days of Frank Ellison and John Allen... You're spot on though. (...) (22 years ago, 20-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)
