I have finished the frame of my new mallet. This is the engine that will pull my Santa Fe cars. What has stop my construction is the cab. (...) which was laid with 9v track, and the curved conductors would not connect to the 9v track. It may also depend on which style of grey conductors you have, perhaps it is the ones with power pin holes which don't work (most of my 12v conductors (...) (22 years ago, 15-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

(...) There are no electical wheels in 12v (or 4.5v). All wheels are plastic. Power pickup comes from conductors between the rails negating the need for power pick-up from the wheels. 9v trains use the wheels of the motor for power pickup. Neither (...) (22 years ago, 15-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)
