Another classic Hamilton creation-- Bravo!  I've said it before, but I'll • say
it again: I love your unique style and architectual vision-- it's so
distinctive.  And BTW, Brad, now I feel a kinship with you because of your • bold
decision to widen;-)  The results are impressive.

I assume by widen that you mean the "6-wideness" of the monorail.  On
frequent trips to Disneyland, I like to check out the design of their
monorails and wanted to shoot for something similar.  Going to 6 wide was
the only way to get that "bulge" in the center section.  I suppose that you
could say that the model is 4-wide because the top and bottom are only 4
studs, but it does bulge out to 6-wide in the middle.

I am going to say this now-- I would absolutely *LOVE* to see a complete
display of Bricktopia at BricksWest this year-- THAT would be tough! • (oops,
just reverted back to third grade:-)

Yeah - I had to completely blow off BricksWest last year due to child care
issues.  Although I seem to be through the worst of it, my time still seems
quite limited (AND the wife is already campaigning for yet another young
one!)  I'd like to start going to more events, including train shows, but it
requires a great deal of time that I just don't have.  I sort of pop in and
pop out with the SCLTC, but can never afford the time to get sufficiently
involved to do a show.

An additional complication is the fragmentation of Bricktopia.  If you check
out this picture of the subburb of Euphoria:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=180598
you may note that the background looks suspiciously similar to that of
central Bricktopia.  In fact, they occupy the same physical space and the
central section now only exists "virtually."  It will be interresting to see
if Euphoria keeps growing or if I start on another "virtual" subburb or
building.  I'm already lusting after the parts in the Cathedral of Ice, but
can't get myself to tear it down just yet.
