Here's where I posted about a DAT file of my best one so far:

I'm still planning some modifications, but it has directional control,
overrun protection, and works on unmodified points. It also uses fairly
common components, though you will need two 1" diameter elastic bands. Sory
if you don't have LDRAW or MLCAD, but I'm afraid there won't be any images
until the next version.
