  Re: woodchip car

(...) SWEET! You know, for the less, shall we say "brick endowed", Woodchip cars can be VERY simple, there are simple smooth wall designs too... Josh (although I LOVE this design!) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Moment of Clarity or An Inspiration to the Rest of Us

(...) Exactly! (...) I think a trolley loop should be idea for this. Lots of ways to incorporate a dogbone loop for those, and an RCX would help us take advantage of that tight design over a regular loop with switched polarity matched with your (...)   Re: Sante Fe Numbering

(...) May well be. If so, it looks like the registry may catch close to 10%, which is pretty good going! ROSCO (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Sante Fe Numbering

Is it me or has the listing on shop.lego.com changed and removed the 'limited numbered edition' from the description. Have all 10,000 been sold? Jeff (23 years ago, 2-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Moment of Clarity or An Inspiration to the Rest of Us

Larry Pieniazek wrote in message ... (...) obviously (...) Is this like what Dean did for our last VLC layout? We had 2 passenger trains running on the same outer loop - one just went round and round, but the other one (Hogwarts Express) was (...)   The Cottontail Special - 2002 Easter Train

As part of the late-March RichLUG Train/Town display here in Richmond, Virginia, I ran an Easter train that I put together a couple of days before the show. I had wanted to have a train in pastel colors, not only because of the season, but to run (...)   Re: I'm back! (In a limited sort of way)

(...) Nope, not good news here. The original device worked flawlessly (not counting "prodding fingers from wee ones" error) for at least 20 hours worth of show time and eventually broke a flex shaft. Subsequently, shaft life dropped to something (...) (23 years ago, 1-Apr-02, to lugnet.duplo, lugnet.trains)

  Re: container car

(...) Yes and no. I've had this idea to mount the wheelset like this when I made my wheel car a while ago(it's in my brickshelf gallery somewhere). I tried using the 1x2w/door rail then and didn't come up with anything that worked well. But I (...) (23 years ago, 1-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: container car

(...) Is that your idea, Chris??? Well whoever it is, that's pretty clever! I knew the wheelsets popped out but had never thought to try to figure out how to mount them. Bravo. (23 years ago, 1-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: container car

(...) thanks chris, I will look into that. but i am thinking of making the ends a little different by adding latters and details to the trucks , then attaching car body over it, the middle portion as you see it, is done, not much left to add (23 years ago, 1-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)
