As for brick count, well, I couldn't even guess. I did *a lot* of SNOT work which
is really a lot of monkey business that drives up piece count. Comparing mine with
the 10020 in a way other than by looks alone is a little like comparing apples and
oranges. I can say this-- if I were to convert my own MOC to 6 wide, I really
wouldn't reduce the piece count dramatically at all. The profile would remain the
same, and only a few bricks would be eliminated widthwise (many would simply be
reduced *in size*, so that wouldn't affect quantity).
Piece count IMO is a non-issue in the whole "debate"-- it's about a"toyish" look
verses a more prototypical look. Both have their place, just like Duplo and
Technic.... (did I just compare 6 wide to Duplo? Not really, since even Duplo is 8
wide;-)
