    Call for steam engines —Steve Barile
   Hi All, I am writing the material to present at BricksWest in the Train Session and need some help. If you have a steam engine built can you send me a URL to pics of it. And please don't be shy.      (...) (URL) only non-obvious detail is the coupling between the loco & the extensions - uses an axle mounted vertically on the centre wheelsets, with a 3x2 plate with hole fitting over the top. The rest of the loco is mostly My Own Train. ROSCO (22 years ago, 2-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

     Here is two models for you. "General" American 4-4-0 (URL) drive wheels are connected, even though the large wheels only have metal pins.      Steve, you're welcome to use my Atlantic as well. It's one of the first (if not the first) steam engines to be used in actual daily railroad operations. Some 20 were built in the 1830s, and many ran until the 1890s(!). As you may remember, the other (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)
