Hi all!

I have seldom used more SNOT and center-stud building techniques in a single
model than in this new MOC (in 7-wide) of a German BR50 steam engine which has
been finished yesterday after a building time of ca. 25h in total.

You can find it in the following brickshelf gallery:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=103019

Despite of its total lenghth the model is able to go through curves and points
without damage. I shot some pictures of the wheel arrangements and of the
engine in a curve to demonstrte this.

Any critic is welcome.

Kind Regards,

Ben

Well done again Ben!!

Thanks for all pictures showing details and the partly built model. I can
see that there is a lot of clever solutions put into the construction. I
think the 7-width gives good proportions to the model - it really has an
authentic appearance.

The only weak point in my view is the pistons and the wheel arrangement. I
think we need and I hope we get new parts from Lego to be able to create
even better MOC trains.

So what is next? Maybe a cabin tender for the Br50

Regards

Mattias

(...) Thanks for your words! (...) I agree moving connecting rods and pistons would be really great, but I think even these static parts do a lot for the first impression.
