Re: and the worst train lego has ever made is... —Kevin Wilson
What do you have against the Freight and Crane railway (4565)? I like it a lot, enough to buy two <g>. Kevin (25 years ago, 30-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

Ewwww...Freight and Crane Railway. Sorry, that is my least favorite. I don't like the engine, but that is not the worst of it. What is that thing hauling? LEGO should have skipped the building with the weighing station (actually the scale thing is (...) (25 years ago, 28-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

it is just that it looks nothing like anything any railway in the world would make. sets like freight rail runner and load and haul railroad look like real freight trains. (25 years ago, 30-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: and the worst train lego has ever made is... —Larry Pieniazek
(...) What are you talking about? The engine looks kind of like a GE 44 tonner and as for the construction equipment, it's fairly harmless. 4559 looks nothing like a real train. 4565 is OK. It's also a good set for parts. I have about 8 4559s and 4 (...) (25 years ago, 31-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

i have never seen one of those locos so i cant say. i was talking more about the cars, the cranes and the color scheme. red+black looks ugly. all black would have been beter. (25 years ago, 31-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: and the worst train lego has ever made is... —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Now there's a less than experienced comment. You name a color scheme, no matter how ugly, and I can name a real railroad that used it. Especially restricted to white black red yellow blue... that's easy. That's a dare, by the way. (25 years ago, 31-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

Okay, I'll bite, and take advantage of your cantankerous mood with a yank on your chain;-)--Pink (which is a tint of red) and white. -John (...) (25 years ago, 31-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: and the worst train lego has ever made is... —Larry Pieniazek
(...) GE erecting shops prior to applying the real/final paint (other than white), their primer is pinkish, or was. But I admit, pink is not a very popular color, I had to stretch. Try one using the 5 primary lego colors... heck, I'll even let you (...) (25 years ago, 31-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: and the worst train lego has ever made is... —John Neal
(...) Oh, gee thanks;-) Let's see... I live in the Midwest, and you'll let me pick *green* and *orange*-- Hmmm I can't think of *any* railroads that used *those* colors! {;^D -John (...) (25 years ago, 31-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: and the worst train lego has ever made is... —Mike Poindexter
Larry, I would have to say yellow and white. Unless they have a Miami ViceLiner, I don't think we have a match. They are UGLY together. Of course, I have seen some ugly schemes... Mike (...) on your (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: and the worst train lego has ever made is... —John Neal
(...) Uffda, and right here in my own backyard! IMHO the merger between Burlingtion Northern (excellent color scheme) and the Santa Fe (another classic scheme) to form the BNSF produced an abhorrant conglom. What a waste of perfectly rotten colored (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: and the worst train lego has ever made is... —Thomas Burger
(...) the engine is nice. but the rest.. ?iffiey my opinion on this subject is the yellow and black pass train (like i know the # right off the top of my head?!?!?) it could of been better if maybe it had regular windows instead of those canopies.
