Just a follow up to this topic now that I have an RCX of my own (thanks Santa...and my wife) I found that using the Radio Shack light sensors for detecting on coming trains to the crossing works great. Many things with concave surfaces can nevertheless be made with non dynamic two part molds if you choose the mold separation line (...) Today, I was looking at a 6761 with the thought of parting a few out. That set contains two parts that I would describe as a 1 x 16 tile with a raised serated edge lengthwise on the top. Examination of the bottom shows a p/n of 3228. Partsref tells (...) (24 years ago, 2-Jan-01, to lugnet.trains)

This is absolutely stunning!! Not just the layout, but the pictures too. How on earth did you get your photo's to look so damn good? Most look like raytrace (And that's meant as a compliment here!).
