So, I have been reading posts and thinking about tight curves vs large layouts vs long train cars... here's some thoughts to react to... There seems to be several ways to skin this cat. You can determine gauge by starting with: 1) Rail width 2) Rail (...) (24 years ago, 11-Dec-00, to lugnet.trains)

I just measured and the radius of LEGO track and it's 20 studs (to the center of the tie). The question is what should the wider track radius be. Add 8 studs and the ties are touching end-to-end, not a great solution, way to close. There needs to be (...) (24 years ago, 11-Dec-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Hear Hear, 6 or 8 either way bigger radius curves, 1/2 and 1/4 length straight track would be welcomed by all. If TLG wants sales to all, make a track adjustment pack available. While their at it "Y" and "X" points would be a nice addition (...) (24 years ago, 11-Dec-00, to lugnet.trains)
