3737 Wagon Plates kits are shipping

I received my black wagon plate kits today. The wagon plates themselves are bowed upward in the middle slightly. I don't think it will be a real big deal once bricks are applied to the surface but might be an issue if someone is building a flat car. (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: YATTTE - Yet Another Thomas the Tank Engine

(...) Are you saying that: God created Bill Gates? (agree-- He *does* move in mysterious ways, you know) Actually, I had heard that Al Gore invented scanners.... -John (...) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: YATTTE - Yet Another Thomas the Tank Engine

(...) No, that was Bill Gates. :-) (FUT off-topic.debate if you insist) (...) I'm with J2 on this, although I usually am the rt. hon. Mr. Stickler from the Accuracy Riding (that's a UK reference). For adult modelers, getting it just so is a good (...) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: YATTTE - Yet Another Thomas the Tank Engine

(...) Well, that's why God created scanners;-) (...) Even if it has 4 wheels, it is Thomas. I just thought it would be nice to see exactly what we are modeling (the prototype modeler in me asserting himself:) -John (...) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: WamaLTC meeting #1: Pictures and MPEGs

(...) quite possible that glue was used. Lee's models were not what I'd consider pure. They were very impressive, but contained modifed (ie mutilated) brick. (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.trains.org.wamaltc)

Re: WamaLTC meeting #1: Pictures and MPEGs

(...) Although I try not to "mutilate" bricks, this is a good use for a piece that a lot of us have way too many of! Very clever work... (fut .trains) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.trains.org.wamaltc)

Re: WamaLTC meeting #1: Pictures and MPEGs

(...) sorry to say, I don't have all the info about these sets... I should warn you though, that they DO have modified (ie mutilated) brick. :/ Those are Lee Tucker's creations. :) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.trains.org.wamaltc)

(...) I really, really like that Grasshopper engine! (URL) TLC decides to revive the Western Theme, a train like this would be great! I was wondering, what is the light-grey part where the dark-grey hose slides into? -Frank (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.trains.org.wamaltc)

Re: YATTTE - Yet Another Thomas the Tank Engine

(...) No, not online. _I_ have the books :). (Some of which were my mom's, and date to the 50's) I have a mobile that has a picture of Thomas from the TV show (which is fairly close, but actually a Marklin Ga 1 engine, cut and hacked...). Really, (...) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Why did Lego stop the electrically controlled trains?

Bad that they always stop the good stuff. I think Lego should not forget about the older children ... I met a young father yesterday who become a new Lego-fan now since he saw all the nice things from Lego. I believe there would be enough people (...) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: WamaLTC meeting #1: Pictures and MPEGs

(...) *I'll* say that's impressive. Did SR run 44 tonners in that color scheme? You may be a little overboard with the slugs and cow/calfs but hey... probably no one else has a herd (there weren't many roads that ran SWx herds) in LEGOdom! Very (...)
