  Re: Train Windows and Doors

(...) Ya, that's it. If I wanted Soccer balls there are sets that offer them for less on a per ball basis (assuming all the other parts are valueless) Actually Soccer balls were one of the things I was planning on selling from that set.   Re: Train Windows and Doors

(...) Well, it looks like someone is already planning on trying to capitalize on this, or is dumping their grey train windows now before their value plumets. Look for grey train windows on eBay, three auctions of 10 each just showed up today. Frank (24 years ago, 21-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Train Windows and Doors

(...) Ahh, but that's NOT bulk. It's the new breed of Service Packs. Lego has always tossed in extras to keep the price relative. Dude! Just because you are going away for a while doesn't mean you have to sell off! Box it up and store it somewhere-- *some* day you'll be glad you did (or your future son/daughter/niece/nephew will;-) Think about it at least. -John (...)   Re: Train Windows and Doors

This is the best news from LEGO in a while. Sounds like they're listening to what the train community has been asking for. And the prices are reasonable too. And it's nice to see a different color for the base plate beside the red. -- James J. (...) (24 years ago, 21-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Train Windows and Doors

Great news, but it is typical lego to offer the train base in BLACK, but to only offer the doors and windows in BLUE and GRAY. Would be nice to be able to build SOMETHING in all the same color.... (...) The trains are motorized, and some are lit (the engine in 4565 has a light for one end - I've wired mine for lighting at both ends). You may want to ask around for a regulator (MA13 has two with no bids right now for $9.99 for example). 4565 (...) (24 years ago, 21-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

  How do LEGO trains work?

This is probably going to seem really silly to all of you, but how do LEGO trains work? Based on the references to 9V vs. 12V, etc. I suspect that they're actually motorized, working trains, but maybe that's only for lights and things? Or do you (...) (24 years ago, 21-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)
