  German Lego®-builder with mega-project

Hi folks! I got a scan of a newspaper concerning a 51 years old Lego fan, who has built a whole town in his subterrain rooms. Now he has come out and shows his stuff including some train layout in a museum (he owns one to two million bricks in (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town) !

Re: Anyone know what set two white piece 4511 (sliding train door) came in?

Since I have been on a hunt for these as well, I have some information to share (or at least pass along) I received this info from an email concerning a recent trade: "Mine [not me but the seller] are new and unused and were part of service pack (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Anyone know what set two white piece 4511 (sliding train door) came in?

I'm only aware of red, yellow, and white. From memory and the set database at lugnet/inv, the large sliding doors came in the following: red: 2 in 740 Building Set (also includes red/yellow train doors and yellow train windows!) 2 in 5077 Parts Pack (...)   Re: NGLTC show at the Georgia LEGO Outlet store

Yeah was talking to the manager a couple of weeks ago, they did get a variety of train stuff in,but it was all the standard stuff you get from S@H. I was hoping for some discontinued sets, but really I'm glad they have something in stock. I just (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

I have found in a store some 3 or 4 old 12 Volts Transformer-Controller, reference is 7864. I'll probably take one for me and the rest can be sold/exchanged for other of my missing sets. Anyone interested ? LG (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: NGLTC show at the Georgia LEGO Outlet store

I was at the store last week. They didn't have any train sets other than the current one. They had quite a bit of track though, also a few accessories (snow clearing train, track repair truck, etc). I was hoping they would have had the train station (...)   Re: Anyone know what set two white piece 4511 (sliding train door) came in?

NOW the question is, what other colors did they come in, in what sets? I know of red in 78xx mail car, and yellow in 6391. Any other colors? I have too many white, need more red/yellow, and would LOVE it if they existed in grey, or best of all, (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Summer steam excursion train

The City is Knoxville, Tenn. The only picture they showed was from the inside of the shed where they are rebuilding it and it was dark and showed no details of the train... The story says they tried to use it in a quarry operation but it wasn't (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.trains)
