  Re: Legomodular standards?

The capacitor can be used to run lights in a train if you run an RCX to power the rails - that way, the lights will be full brightness. That's assuming the cap has a diode to allow current only one way, otherwise you'd have to add one to the wire (...) (25 years ago, 30-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) 2 baseplates. The older modules from the GMLTC that most people are familiar with will soon be no more. They have opted for new modules that are 60" wide and 40" deep and will be running all 8-wide rolling stock. The size they chose was (...)   Re: First draft of the Lego-Modular Train layout standards posted..

(...) So a module is defined as 144 x 96 studs according to your page which is a 2x3 grid of 48x48 stud baseplates, cool. The only problem I saw with the page is that you are using the terms 'wide' and 'deep' to discuss size but haven't really (...) (25 years ago, 30-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org)

(...) Cruiser"? (...) Mm-hmm! The 4559 train had one, IIRC. Might've been a different glass color but same shape. Also, 6479 had it too. -Shiri (25 years ago, 30-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Legomodular standards?

Arn't? What was I thinking? That is what I get for typing with one hand. I'm looking at my 2000 pitsco-dacta catalog (because young minds matter) Here are all the electrical parts, numbers, and prices. Lego Solar Cell #979912 $35 Lego Capacitor (...) (25 years ago, 30-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Legomodular standards?

They arn't on the web site, I have only seen them in the spare parts area in the catalog. They have two different wire paks, two 10', and one with a 5', 2', and 1' (approx). I'll dig up my catalog and post the part #'s and cost a bit later tonight. (...) (25 years ago, 30-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

First draft of the Lego-Modular Train layout standards posted..

The preliminary page for Lego-modular standards is up at: (URL) the near future, I plan to post pictures detailing how the lattice structure is made from 2x4 bricks as well as the optional 2x6 style. Over time, I will document all stages of module (...) (25 years ago, 30-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org)

  Re: Legomodular standards?

(...) As long as the 2 controllers are set to the same 'notch', you will not have any real problem. The motor will get 2x voltage for the period of time that it takes with one set of wheels on one power supply, and the other from the other (not all (...)   Re: Legomodular standards?

In the future, if Lego doesn't come out with DCC or something like it in their 2001 train line, I will be converting my motors over to DCC. The newest line of Digitrax decoders offers a unit that reads back the EMF from the motor and adjusts to (...) (25 years ago, 30-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)
