Hi Kevin, nice work! I like your real black Club Car too. I also have done some similar work, using the parts of three 4559 train sets and several model team vehicles. The baseplates of the 4560 train are really great for MOCs, even if the rest of (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.publish)

Supposedly the Soccer sets aren't scheduled out until May. While many stores start carrying them early, I doubt they'll get them 4 months early ;-) (...) -- Tom Stangl ***(URL) Visual FAQ home ***(URL) Bay Area DSMs (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

Has anyone successfully ordered 3405 from S@H? The other two aren't even out yet, and that one doesn't seem to be in any stores. -- Paul Davidson Jean-marc Détraz <moratel@auracom.com> wrote in message news:FoAtDz.B8I@lugnet.com... (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

I have an idea, why don't all the "friends of PNLTC" send e-mail to GATs (www.gats.com) mentioning that seeing LEGO train layouts is the reason you go to GATS. SteveB LTC's of the world unite! (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

I'm not sure who did the original metroliner gif, but I just fiddled with the colors to make a black version with trans-lt-blue glass: (URL) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.publish)

I'm not sure I understand the question exactly, but they all have the same motor. It's just incorporated differently into the engine model. The 4559 does not have the motor connected by a bogey plate, like the 4565, if that's what you're asking. It (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

Actually, to light up the 4559, you only need the 1x2 light brick, and the 2x4 electric plate, both from 5310. I did this with my 4559. Tim Strutt 8^) (...) sure (...) 9v (...) how (...) "black (...) a (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Do you perhaps mean a different set? 4559 (ref: (URL) ) has a little tiny engine built on top of the motor unit. It's difficult to see how to give it two motors. Even the alternate steamer has only one. (oh how I long for the days when Lego (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

Ben ... IMHO the 4559 locomotive is great! They just beg to be built with two motors ... they're just the right weight to give two motors excellent traction. Two two motor units will pull more cars than the magnetic couplers can handle! To add (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)
