Re: New site for the NGLTC

Robin, It looks like Tallahassee is about 6 hours from New Orleans. I bet that is the closest you will get to New Orleans. When is the GATS show? Maybe I can meet you there? I do not have a layout, but I have some rolling stock that I would love to (...) (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org)

  Re: GATS Tampa Show...

(...) thing is huge! Working on a 6 wide scale I have not been able to produce a complete train--I am getting close-- and I cannot imagine buying enough bricks to work at the 8 wide level. Not yet at least. Then again I cannot imagine having enough (...) (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Longest train?

(...) snip (...) Ah, I was being vague again. The trains to which I was refering were regular freight trains not coal trains. snip (...) Why 'space'? Is it because your trains become 'rockets' if you send more than 10 cars and 3 engines down at once (...) (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Web Hosting Questions?

  Re: Web Hosting Questions?

(...) NELUG is hosted by pair Networks ( www.pair.com ). We have an Advanced account which goes for $16.95 per month plus setup fees. You get 60 Meg of space plus other features including a POP mail account. To see a listing of all their services (...) (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.org, lugnet.trains.org)

  Re: good steam engine

(...) this (...) Well, I already built a 7750. I'll keep my 7722 for sentimental reasons. It doesn't really matter that much right as my train doesn't go anywhere. Jimmy (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: good steam engine

(...) Hi Jimmy, the main problem in getting a 7722 bigger is the old type 4,5V motor. With this high type motor it is nearly impossible to create something with bogie plates without making a awful appearence. Maybe you have the chance to get parts (...) (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Quick Clubcar Q

Hi Scott! Every Lego set is a limited edition: whenever the Lego Group takes a set out of its program, no further copies of this set are produced. But in the real meaning of "Limited Edition" (planning to do only xxx copies, without relationship to (...) (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

Longest railroad (was Re: Longest train?

The big question remaining after this shocking news is, will BNSF+CN merge with CSX or NS, as those are the two remaining eastern roads. Whoever they go with, UP is sure to go with the other... at least that's the conventional wisdom in the rail (...) (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: GATS Tampa Show...

(...) Mine, if I ever get it up;-) Actually, I don't know of a lot of people who consistently build 8 wide as I do. Oh, I have *some* 6 wide stuff, but only to run on the GMLTC layout because 8 wides can't fit around the track in certain areas. (...) (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.trains)
