  Power Functions train controller

I've been reading the Power Functions protocol specification. I'm thinking that the train controller is using: Single Output Mode Mode = Clear/Set/Toggle 0100 Increment PWM and 0101 Decrement PWM when you spin a knob. Possibly Single Output Mode (...)   Re: Is the Emerald Night (PF) Slow?

(...) Pulling more cars was one of the first things I tried. I was just using a simple oval track, so lots of turning. Half of the cars I used were 4-wheel ones, which have lots of friction on the corners. I had a total of 8 cars on it, and it (...) (16 years ago, 19-May-09, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Santa Fe Numbered Engine Set

(...) A looong time ago I recall a very large full size Yoda head desk being auctioned. As for the engines, I think the first 5 were auctioned. They all can with a display base if I remember correctly. Check of the May 28, 2003 press release in the (...) (16 years ago, 19-May-09, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Is the Emerald Night (PF) Slow?

(...) Some of the late steam era passenger trains could manage quite a pace. Besides, the occasional catastrophic LEGO train derailment can be kinda fun! With the maximum speed I am generating, derailment is not a risk. (...) Absolutely true. (...) (16 years ago, 19-May-09, to lugnet.trains)

  Santa Fe Numbered Engine Set

Does anyone recall how number the 0001 Santa Fee Auctioned for when LEGO did the eBay auction? Thanks. What other auctions did LEGO do apart from that one? Star Wars if I recall right? -Ahui (16 years ago, 18-May-09, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Is the Emerald Night (PF) Slow?

(...) Slower is more realistic and will not derail on corners. I always run my steam engines as slow as I can without stalling. The better question is how many cars can it pull slowly and how long does the battery last? Thanks, Bruce (16 years ago, 18-May-09, to lugnet.trains)
