It seems that interest has waned again so I'll declare the current high bids as sold on the 5th January 1999. If anyone is under the impression that I am going to lower the price on the 7740's, sorry, below these prices they are worth more to me for (...) (26 years ago, 2-Jan-99, to lugnet.trains)

| | S@H: RR track nomenclature
|
|
Here's something that's been driving me crazy for years, and finally I have to vent: In the S@H catalog, whenever there's a reference to a length of track, it's always "7 [or whatever] feet of running track". Am I insane, or is the proper expression (...) (26 years ago, 2-Jan-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.dear-lego)

Hi all, I recently picked up this set as part of a collection. It was missing one piece, a whistle, black in color with three rows of 2 studs on top. It seems that the train is controlled using a sound sensor which starts or stops the motor when it (...) (26 years ago, 1-Jan-99, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Hi Chris, pull up a lawn chair. (BTW, has anyone made a lego version of a lawn chair yet? Doesn't have to fold up, but t'would be awesome if so. That'll give me something else to do.) Due to selective compression found in Lego (1), I don't (...) (26 years ago, 31-Dec-98, to lugnet.trains)

Hello all! I have been reading the posts on Lugnut for sometime and decided to jump on in. I have admired many of your websites regarding trains and 9V setups. I have even done a few of my own conversions. Does anyone use a particular model railroad (...) (26 years ago, 31-Dec-98, to lugnet.trains)

It looks to me as though the middle wheels, which are small technic wheels, are meant to ride on the track and rotate. Given this, it seems simple enough to drive the big dish at the front when any powered train is used to push the plough unit. (...) (26 years ago, 28-Dec-98, to lugnet.trains)
