Re: Some new MOC Trains from NMRA NTS 07

(...) Those are great looking car carriers. The tread links are a brilliant use of a new element! The only thing I could even suggest is to snot a tile between them for the vertical support, but that would be a pretty trick change. I hope to see (...) (...) Ah, yes. Thanks for the link. I was actually hoping for another reply (see below) - I think your cars look great as is. One can tell exactly what they are from the models and to me that is what is important. (...) (5 second pause) Reply: These (...) (17 years ago, 24-Aug-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Some new MOC Trains from NMRA NTS 07

Here is pic of a real one (see below, the image is a link too), the one wide panel I think works well. Also I was trying to give this car a longer look even thought it is already at 40 studs (my personal limit). It is about the same size as a double (...)   London Underground 1972mkII Tube Stock

The 1972 tube stock was a minor evolution of the 1967 stock that was ordered for the Victoria line. The first batch (MkI) were for the Northern Line to replace 1938 stock. The second batch (MKII), while intended for the new Fleet (now Jubilee) line (...) (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.underground, FTX)

(...) I saw these in person and they are impressive! The car carriers especially stood out. Did you consider using two rows of the treads next to each other for a wider door way appearance at all? Best, Jonathan (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Scott Wardlaw's GM EMD SD80 in Norfolk Southern trim

(...) Maybe not better, but thinner. I like using string to keep things less bulky. (URL) (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) Very nice indeed. You have got a really nice balance of shape and detail in there. I may have to 'borrow' some of your ideas there, I particularly like the steps. Excellent decals - 10/10 Play Well Chris (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) www.railfonts.com should be helpful for the artwork for many railroads (but not NS). Benn PS, echoing the others, nice locomotive. (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: YA Steam locomotive

(...) Thank you Chris. The connector joints are part 44 and I think they have been around for a while. Indeed, it would look better with the smokebox and bottom of the firebox in dark gray, but a few of the parts are not available (sigh). Benn (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.trains)
