Wonderful! The skating pond is so simple yet so effective. All the details throughout the scene are wonderful. Did you drill holes in the 1x1 transperent rounds to make the Xmas light strings? (...) Funny how oceans apart we come up with the same ideas. I stopped using light sensors for the RCX and laterly use an isolated track to stop trains at two stations. Acording to Brickfest 2005, the plan was to release the Ultimate Train Builders Set and the Train Factory palette in 2005. what if the operating system was something like the rokenbok line? they have a central hub with hand controllers that use miniature 'walkie talkies' to control individual units. although, commands are only delivered while communication is maintained (...) (...) You've also got the problem that if they work like the volume control on a TV remote (which is likely) the signals are "speed up" and "slow down", not absolute speed values. Plus a remote is usually in the hands of the controller, so can be re-targetted as necessary - whereas an RCX controller would most likely be fixed to the layout somewhere, and disguised as an object of some kind on the layout. I believe that there is a rather large battery box cavity in the interior of the engine above the base plate. Whats nice is that you get to this cavity via the bottom of the train thru the hanging tank. So you have the 6x8 "tank" below, the IR (...)
