Re: New Pics: Buildings!Buildings!Buildings! Exotic Colors:-)

(...) Hi John, Nice stuff. I really like the large gray building....looks like the warehouse/factory buildings in Long Island City, Queens. I like the look of the first floor with the 'blocked in' windows. I actually like the Maersk blue and sand (...) (21 years ago, 14-May-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.trains.org)

(...) Wow, that really does look nice. Hey LEGO, can we buy flex tubing in bulk? <grin> Very clever use of the 'control stick' element to hold the tubing in place, too... JohnG, GMLTC (21 years ago, 14-May-03, to lugnet.trains)

Mentioned elsewhere: (URL) is pretty nifty in appearance. I especially liked the terminators/weights. Not sure how practical it would be for a large layout but man does it look cool. (21 years ago, 14-May-03, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Some new rolling stock in 7-wide.....

(...) Awesome work! I love the "Steppenpferd" (hope I spelled that correct, my Fleischmann catalog's translation was pretty bad ;) ) ! Any chance you'll build a second as a BR64? (...) Great camera! But from my limited experience with an IXUS v2 I (...) (21 years ago, 14-May-03, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Thanks, Andrew! As for the dark red-- Bricklink (took a while, and it wasn't cheap either!) All of the sand green from both buildings was taken from 1 statue of liberty set. Suffice it to say regarding the Maersk blue that I was in the right (...) (21 years ago, 14-May-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.trains.org)

(...) JOHN, Thank you for sharing your wonderful creations! I think ALan covered it. ;-) The dark red building really stands out now. I like all the use of simple elements that add lots of detail. As ALLan said, "Your use of color is excellent, (...) (21 years ago, 14-May-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.trains.org)

(...) Thanks, JT. "Borrow" away! BTW, do you have a Spamcake Diner (TM) on the NGLTC layout yet? JOHN (21 years ago, 14-May-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.trains.org)

(...) Thanks for the compliment. I haven't any, but soon I will have some modules completed with many of these buildings on them and so I will be taking more pics-- I'll put my son Ross in a few of them for you:-) JOHN (21 years ago, 14-May-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.trains.org)
