(...) Electronics is one of my hobbys,and i wanted to know how they (Lego) build there speed controller. In fact,its a basic application of the LM317 regulator. (...) that's (...) transformer (...) I just opened a LEGO TRAIN SPEED REGULATOR and drawn a shematic of it. I did this once before but lost the paper. Now to the point: The INPUT of the regulator may be an AC or a DC signal. Even reversing the (...) (25 years ago, 23-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

Actually, lowering the voltage would lower the current draw too with a constant load. Of course a motor is anything but a linear load, and it does tend to draw more current at slower rpm. In any case, you're not going to break it, since the 9v train (...) (25 years ago, 23-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

Hello I have a friend at LEGO Denmark that i can order LEGO pieces from. I ordered piecenumber 4181,4182,8183,4033,...4511,4510. He said that they didnt have it in stock. Now i wonder if their are any one ho wants those pieces. If ther are a hugh (...) (25 years ago, 23-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

(...) that's (...) transformer (...) transformer (...) by transformer do you mean the lego speed controller? If it's a yes there is no problem feeding it with 7.5V DC. The input will accept 9V to 12V AC or DC for full performance (0V to 9V at the (...) (25 years ago, 23-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)
