(...) Hi, Just to let you know that i'm also converting motors to work with a DCC system, kinda Maerklin / Uhlenbrock. Eric, That funny you asked that because I am currently working on some Rio Grande livestock cars to do just that. I'll let you know how it works out. As far as trouble with 3 axles, they work fine in the turns. I don't have any space between them, (...) (22 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.trains)

With my SD40-2 (Rio Grande) I kind of took the middle road and put 6 wheels in the back and used the 4 wheel train motor in the front. I know it's not exact, but we do have to work with in the limits of LEGO parts. I did try match the fans and side (...) (22 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.trains)
