  Re: Train prices

On Fri, 6 Aug 1999 09:52:14 GMT, Simon Robinson uttered the following profundities... (...) Though I am not a trainhead, I believe the Entertainer, (a chain predominantly in the SE), is cheapest for track. Sorry, but don't remember the prices (...)   Re: 4-8-4 SP Daylight

(...) Hi John, Could you let us know in what issue your article will be published ? John "waaaa, I dont have enough room for trains!" Morgan Old enough to remember when slides was the only way to show groups and young enough to LOVE MY LEGOS! (25 years ago, 7-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 4-8-4 SP Daylight

Well, of course normally I wouldn't use them (slides), but... hopefully they will turn out well enough to use for an article I'm going to write about the GMLTC for Model Railroader Magazine. For the best definition, slides are *still* the way to go. (...) (25 years ago, 7-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 4-8-4 SP Daylight

Pardon me for butting in here, but... (...) Slides? slides? How old *are* you John? My uncle showed me slides 20 years ago. They worked good for a room of people. The room has gotten much bigger, John. Splurge and get one of those nifty digital (...) (25 years ago, 7-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

UK TRU Overpriced (was: Train prices)

TRU appears to charge full TLG UK prices. Allegedly (according to Toy Stack), TLG has various price structures: Hamleys (which supposedly owns Toy Stack) is instructed to charge the highest prices, while (I guess that) TRU are up there too. I assume (...) (25 years ago, 6-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.trains)

  Train prices

Does anyone get the impression that TRU in the UK are ripping us off for train prices? I'm getting suspicious because (a) TRU prices for things like the track and the 4532 level crossing seem very high for the number of bricks in them. (b) for all (...)   Re: 4-8-4 SP Daylight

Nice "trailer queen" (what the hot rodders call a car that's all show and no go). It's really really good looking. amazing work. Very nice. But just not practical at 8 wide :-) (25 years ago, 6-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

  4-8-4 SP Daylight

It was suggested (several days ago... having problems posting, I guess) that I post the link to the Daylight I made here: <a href="(2 URLs) It's a little short, but I didn't have too much orange left. Also, the only LEGO train sets I have are a (...) (25 years ago, 5-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: No Ritvik for me thanks

Why we don't use non-LEGO product? One of the reasons is that it's lousy product. It does not wear as well or hold up to the same rigors that the LEGO product does. I've watched models made of knock off brands fall apart in direct sunlight because (...) (25 years ago, 5-Aug-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

Re: Bulk Ordering - Secrets Revealed.

(...) I don't understand why people are so confused about this. First of all, the (legitimate) bulk ordering market already exists, but it's small and limited to the most commonly needed pieces (simple bricks). You can get 2x4 bricks for about (US) (...)
