Stripes in light blue? Is that all you can do? :-) I think they're really good. The diesel looks better now with more yellow at the front, and those curved-top bricks really make the hopper something special. Those other wagons look the part too. (...) In lugn Again, cab windows are (...) Same trick I used on my 25's...if only some bits were available in green! Following the Red Letter Day at LEGOLand Windsor (read all about it in lugnet.loc.uk and see (URL) I have been busy using some of the rare and otherwise unobtainable bricks obtained in the 1Kg of LEGO we were given on the day in new train creations. (...) The helix is so cool. As far as 12v conductors go, I've found that they need to be modified slightly to fit over the studs on the added ties. Did you find a way around this? Mark (22 years ago, 19-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

(...) I think those old power pickups would be the way to go. The slightly newer ones have a thin enough pin to be able to be plugged into a 12v wire. Of course "pure" solution would be to use a 12v motor, but a little cutting of wire would provide (...) (22 years ago, 19-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)
