  Re: 10001 & 10002 arrived today

I recieved my delxe set yesterday. This is what has changed (from what I can tell): The club car seems to be just like original. There are curves, not diagonal lines on the preprinted parts. The metroliner has undergone a few changes. The hair has (...) (23 years ago, 9-Oct-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 10001 & 10002 arrived today

I just got an email from Lego that my Deluxe Metroliner just shipped. My wife had ordered me the set in mid September, so the turnaround isn't too bad for a back-ordered set. -- Scott (...) (23 years ago, 9-Oct-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 10001 & 10002 arrived today

(...) Really? The pics online show that the 2x2 wall panels have diagonal stripes on them, with sharp corners, rather than the smooth curves of the originals. Did they really manage to print them just like the old ones? -- Tom Stangl ***(URL) (...) (23 years ago, 9-Oct-01, to lugnet.trains)

  10001 & 10002 arrived today

Re: My first (photographed) Train MOC (with Octan truck)

(...) You've made good use of the limited color of train doors in your collection. Regarding the Octan truck: again, an great use for an element in a new (to me) way. That engine does make for a nice cylindrical tank. Nice. later, James Mathis (23 years ago, 8-Oct-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

(...) Thanks, Iain! I'll have to check that out next time I'm in the US! The 10x4x2 windows for the top were a no-brainer, but it took me a while to decide on the 8x8 grid plates for the sides. If you look really closely here (URL) you'll notice (...) (23 years ago, 7-Oct-01, to lugnet.trains)
