  Re: New MOC:TGV in Orange

(...) Master Builder James does it again... I just spent a little time poring over this, and showing it to some of my NL cow orkers, who are all pretty impressed. Now, I can't go so far to say that I'm humbled (1) but I'm certainly impressed and in (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Train tables

Yep, that's my design. At a minimum, I suggest 30.25" x 60.5" for long linear runs. When I need extra depth, I stack them two deep. We (PNLTC) also have a few tables that are ~40" x ~80. The larger size gives you a pretty good amount of space for a (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: New MOC:TGV in Orange

Simply superb! This is exactly the kind of set LEGO should be producing. It's so recognizable. Excellent work James. I'm humbled. Ben Fleskes PNLTC (...) trains, (...) in (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Train tables

I was going to be building several tables for my Lego collection in my hobby room and was wondering how I should go about it. I was originally going to make the tables 45"x45", since it was a good, large table. I happened to see the Modular train (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: New MOC:TGV in Orange

(...) trains, (...) This is awesome! I love this train. I want one bad. *sigh* I've got enough orange slopes but need more bricks. I rarely apply bookmarks to sites but this warrants one hands down. I just found my new Christmas train project. :) (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

  New MOC:TGV in Orange

Since the Halloween buckets came out last year, I have wanted to build something modeled in orange. Several of us seem to be on the same page these days to model passenger trains, specifically TGVs! :-) This is excellent. I'm am enjoying seeing all (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: NMRA Convention Accomodations

(...) Are many people going to show up? What about a LegoFest or at least a get together? I'm going to go, haven't decided whether it will be Saturday or Sunday yet. (25 years ago, 2-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Macs (was Re: GMLTC Teaser page)

(...) Classic Corporate Arrogance. Apple almost killed themselves with stupidity. If they had allowed Macs to be cloned, and had ported MacOS to the intel platform around the time of OS/2 1.1 and Windows 2.0, this would be a far different (better?) (...)   Re: cool suggestion: create a 9v train idea book

one thing about it. i think that photos should not be essential. because there are people who may not be able to get photos but may be able to get ldraw designs etc etc etc. i for one have made a large collection of dat files of train related stuff (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: cool suggestion: create a 9v train idea book

My suggestion would be to have a disc that people could buy for a nominal fee, say $10, that would have all that information on it so that people would not have to be online to get it and wouldn't have to download for 10 minutes to find out if they (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

  NMRA Convention Accomodations

I'm seriously considering making the trip but I'm not sure what day(s) would be the best to attend. If I can't get a reasonable price on a NW flight I'd probably drive up to NW Chicago after work on Thursday and then the rest of the trip Friday, or (...)   Macs (was Re: GMLTC Teaser page)

(...) I have to agree with John :-) Mac's don't rule, too low a market share to say that. They are merely far superior to those kludgy Wintel abominations. And it's all in the OS. I wish they made it for other hardware so those of you without Macs (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.general)

Re: cool suggestion: create a 9v train idea book

I think this is a great idea! Formatting would be of the upmost importance for the 'book' to come together as a whole. I would suggest the criteria be at the very least photographs in three resolutions, followed by ldraw instructions, then POV (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

Is 4555 going to be a rare set?

I've seen 4555 on auction. Was that set discontinued in USA? Well, I'm not (yet) a train-maniac, neither I want to put one on auction by myself. I'm just curious. There's plenty of 4555 on the shelves here in Italy, but if the set is going to be (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: GMLTC Framework comments

John 1 and I were thinking the same thing yesterday about a text nav bar as well. Always happy to take suggestions. :-) I have a stack of around 40 pictures to scan and setup on the page. I hope to get a few more up today, but it's been busy, and I (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org)
