I recently bought a 4559 and modified it making it a solid passenger train. None of this portable compartment shit! I think it kinda works! Ireally like yelloew and black together! I don't really buy lego trains for realism - more escape-ism. I also (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

Unless PageMill has dramatically improved (I last used it about two years ago), it is a pretty weak product in my opinion. It was okay for building a page but lousy when it came to site management. Hi Doug, Looks like a good start! Did you build it with the boiler top horizontal to begin with? Does the stepped top in the photos look better? Re the wheels: I built a 4-6-0 GC steamer a few months ago using Technic pulley/wheels for the drivers (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

Ok, got the pics scaned, and they look good! Point your browser to (URL) navigate to the A4 click on Lego, then Trains, then scroll down a bit and click on the LNER A4 Loco text. (...) GE erecting shops prior to applying the real/final paint (other than white), their primer is pinkish, or was. But I admit, pink is not a very popular color, I had to stretch. Try one using the 5 primary lego colors... heck, I'll even let you (...) (25 years ago, 31-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

THAT looks promising. Wish the nosepiece actually came in red. Can you post a view that is more sideish instead of nose on? Note that in Lego Loco there is an all red loco on the cover that uses that nosepiece... (...) (25 years ago, 31-May-99, to lugnet.trains)
