  Another Legend dies....

Dear all! I'm really glad with most of the latest news we have heared from TLC. Bulk order becomes better and better, (in Germany you can buy at S@H even without credit card!), the "My Own Trains" and the new waggons are nice as models and (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains) !!

  Re: August Surprise...

(...) Why? LEGO(r) doesn't see it that way. LUGNET(tm) doesn't see it that way. (23 years ago, 16-Jul-01, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.trains)

  Re: August Surprise...

(...) Likewise. Now, you've made your point, OK? Please don't do it again, thanks. (23 years ago, 16-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: August Surprise...

(...) This car is actully prototypical, the car would normally be used for pulpwood, the logs being short, and stacked sideways. They'll sometimes leave the chain out here stateside... But one thing i have to say, the ends are backwards. The caboose (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Assuming, of course, they *have* such parts in their collection!!! But I agree, the 10013 looks a bit strange - none of the log cars I've seen (in australia) has big end sections - they rely on the chains holding them. ROSCO (23 years ago, 15-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: August Surprise...

So maybe I am "beating a dead horse" with a little "subtle" humor. When you have to explain a joke it is no longer "funny". Explanation to follow (if you "get the joke" please disregard). Start Explanation: I guess I just get a little tired when (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: SD40-2 & SD45 (& now GP30)

And finnaly, my GP30: (URL) GP30 has some interesting caracteristics, the Conductor's side has an interesting bulge, the roof has and interesting bulge also; and is the only EMD Locomotive with this roof design. The roof fans are also strange, as (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: August Surprise...

(...) Thanks for this posting of yours John! In fact I was reading the text of Stephan and was not sure, how to understand it. If there was a joke, then I surely missed it. Getting a joke in a foreign language is not too easy sometimes.... On the (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

In lugnet.events.brickfest, Scott Sanburn writes: - snip - (...) Personally, I think of the Metroliner as being a town set. Sure it's a train, but trains are a part of town, IMO. Otherwise, I think 6390 Main Street would be a good candidate. (It (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jul-01, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.trains)

  Znap Monorail

In our last ParLUGment meeting, I presented my little monorail train using znap pieces for the rail. (URL) photos are a little bury due to my shaky hand. I already tried to sharpen them a bit.   Re: znap track monorail!

  znap track monorail!

I just found this on Brickshelf, who is "Ka-On Lee"???? This is a great idea. Perhaps doubling (or tripling up) on the depth of the rails and/or alternating them can strengthen them.   SD40-2 & SD45

(...) Get a grip. Brad Justus is a real person. He told over 100 other real people that this was going to be happening, we all saw and heard it. Ben was nowhere near Washington DC at the time. (23 years ago, 15-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)
