  Re: Pics: JAC Bethgon Coalporter

(...) I'm at a loss for words... I do wish LEGO would come out with a gray half stud bulk pack- the GP7 I've been working on takes about 24 itself. I'm running low right now. (...) Looking forward to it! -chris (24 years ago, 22-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

(...) don't want the association with AT&T and I am sure they don't either. Other than that it's great. John's ones have potential too although they are a bit too "happy". :-) I do have to ask, why logos, why now? ++Lar (24 years ago, 21-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

micro (not "upside down") Metro Liner

Another micro creation, although this one is not built "upside down" like the airplanes (you train guys might have no idea what i'm talking about, go to lugnet.town). This model is also built for the hobby store, but will not be hanging form the (...) (24 years ago, 21-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

(...) Thank you! (...) 1x2x5. (...) It is braced from the inside. The faux coal plating across the top really tightens up the model. Without it, it is a very delicate model indeed. (...) I do want to create a string of them, but they require many (...) (24 years ago, 21-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

Excellent model John! Hmm... I can't say many more comments that haven't beens said in this thread already, so I'll just ask some questions. Are the ribs 1x1x5 bricks? How firmly is the red end attached? I see how it is tied in to at the bottom but (...) (24 years ago, 21-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

Robin- Actually I like number 4. I'd like it even better with a drop shadow on the letters. It's nice, clean, and bold. -John 3 (...) (24 years ago, 21-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Breaking radio silence...

Too much work (still pre-IPO, but still hanging on after 5 years!), but I finally made some time to build more improvements on my Spine Car.   Re: New IOLTC Logo

(...) Couple of comments: 1. Being an Aussie, I think it's much nicer!!! 2. "Of" should probably have lower case "o" 3. The (R) symbol is usually done as superscript 4. Although reducing realism, I think it'd be better without the little levers (...) (24 years ago, 21-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Coal Car Question

When you look at a particular car, what you want to do is identify *what* unit train it belongs in... because in many cases the cars are owned by the utility company, or at least, are covered by a exclusive use contract. So you don't (...) (24 years ago, 20-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)
