   now for the helpppp

i am currently building the bay window pictured below. i have the window built but i am drawing a blank for the roof because of the 45deg angles. anyone have a solution or idea to help me out?

thanks,

Hi Ondrew,

Great work on the windows. Both really nice designs (as is the rest of your layout that I’ve seen).

That roof is difficult... my only suggestion would be to use part 2450 or part 3935 double hinged (eg. using a pneumatic-t) at 45 degrees each way. Other than that you could try pseudo-scultping it with 1x1 slopes (although the colour won’t work) or stepping slopes with the studs sideways to the window...

Nothing I can think of is optimal but maybe that will inspire someone else to a better solution.

Tim

thanks for the ideas tim. since i’m actuly building the window in white rather than the expencive sand blue, i might try the 1x1 slope route if no one else comes up with a better solution.

(...) Ondrew, I'd actually suggest using 6106's (2 total), one on each side with a 6x8 plate, hinged like Tim suggested. From looking at the window dimensions that looks like more of a fit. Have Fun! C-Ya! Rich (18 years ago, 23-Apr-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)
