  Re: It's Fantasmagorical!!!

(...) Thanks, Bruce. CCBB was not a Disney film. What you are probably remembering are the two fantastic performances by the same man in both films-- Dick Van Dyke. CCBB was written by Ian Fleming (who also created James Bond). It was released by (...) (21 years ago, 5-Sep-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Jack's Place

Hello townsfolk, I haven't posted here before, but after a project I'm working on did not need all the orange parts left over from my visit to LLCA I had this great (or not so great) Idea. And ta da! Jack O'Lantern's studio house. (URL) layout (URL) (...) (21 years ago, 4-Sep-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.org.us.sealug, lugnet.announce.moc) !

New poll: how do you handle building interiors, backsides

Hi all, I figured I'd try putting up a poll for those of you who build buildings. I guess the main question I'm getting at is do you build buildings more for display (how they look as backdrop for your brickfilm or train layout or whatever), or more (...)   Re: It's Fantasmagorical!!!

(...) John, Such a fun MOC. Now I'm sitting at my desk with the Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang song running through my head. Maybe this should be cross-posted to .Disney? Was this a Disney movie? Or am I just getting mixed up with Mary Poppins? Bruce (21 years ago, 4-Sep-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, lugnet.disney, FTX)

  Re: It's Fantasmagorical!!!

(...) lol WWJB;-) (...) Yes, but it has been so long since I built it I can't remember why I rejected it. There were issues IIRC... (...) lol I have come to consider "8wide" as more of a scale than a simple description, but I have also come to (...) (21 years ago, 4-Sep-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: It's Fantasmagorical!!!

(...) "A child shall lead them" eh? (...) Very nice indeed. Lots of charming touches and it really captures the spirit of one of my favorite movies well (1)... but leaving Truly out... that truly is a shame. Did you consider the adventurers car (...)   Re: It's Fantasmagorical!!!

(...) **snip** Congrats to "Consultant Ross". (...) Beautiful model. I particularly like the way the sloping front fenders notch around the bit below the front windscreen. Very smart model. Saw that the movie was on TV just this past weekend, I (...) (21 years ago, 4-Sep-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: It's Fantasmagorical!!!

(...) John that is so awsome! That is one of my fave movies from my youth. Scary thing is that I remember seeing this movie in the theater. If you don't mind I might lift that design here in the future and include it on one of my layouts. jt (21 years ago, 4-Sep-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: It's Fantasmagorical!!!

I love it! The car looks great. The wings look very accurate. (I haven't seen the film in a while) Great Job. Ben (21 years ago, 4-Sep-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, FTX)

  It's Fantasmagorical!!!

(2 URLs) Here is an MOC of the star of one of my all-time favorite movies, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Though I built her over a year ago, I've only recently taken the time to snap off some pics (The girth of the minifigs necessitated that I exclude (...)   Re: Windmill by Mike Gallagher

(...) When I was making the Blade for the windmill I was going on the airfoils used in the real Windmills of that size. They are more like airplane wings than a flat blade that is just curved like you have on a fan blades at home. I do agree that it (...) (21 years ago, 3-Sep-03, to lugnet.town)

(...) Nice job Robin, I saw this earlier on Brickshelf and it took me a few minutes to put it together that it was your work, I was trying to think of a real landmark named Werner Plaza....that was before I had my morning coke. jt (21 years ago, 2-Sep-03, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Piano MOCs

What I mean by the "I dont think so" comment is that you do not have to learn anything new. LPub can definitely work for instructions. I also will have an instruction image editing tutorial up on BIP soon. Look for Jake to make an announcement. Ben (21 years ago, 2-Sep-03, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Piano MOCs

(...) I dont think so. As long as you have inserted steps in the mlcad file and your pieces are in order, you should be able to use LPub. Click generate -> instruction images and it will do the rest. You may want to adjust settings for lighting and (...) (21 years ago, 2-Sep-03, to lugnet.town)

These are very nice! You should make instructions and post them on Jake's BIP site. Great little moc's! Ben (21 years ago, 2-Sep-03, to lugnet.town)
