  Re: Pepsi building

(...) For the record... I think the Pepsi company had the idea first... so technically you're both copying. :) For the other record (whichever one that is) the logo stands out better on the tan building. It looks more like a painted mural than part (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: MOC: Wal-Mart, Bob Evans, raised tracks (preliminary layout)

Hi Bill, Ray: Thanks for your replies! I fully agree. In fact, the set-up will be divided in two sections: urban generic sprawl and small town USA; we have only started working on the former. On our last trip back to our small mid-west undergrad (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: MOC: Wal-Mart, Bob Evans, raised tracks (preliminary layout)

(...) Yup, we need more work done on businesses with a local flavor, like... Billy Bo Bobs Bar-B-Q and (just outside of town) Honky Tonk oh, and make sure there are plenty of pick-em-up trucks parked out front. Ray (posting from the deep south, aka (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: MOC: Wal-Mart, Bob Evans, raised tracks (preliminary layout)

(...) What is Bob Evans? Your McD's and Wal*Mart are quite authentic-looking. But speaking as someone who does not think very highly of the way that our towns are being taken over by the franchises and chains in RL, I'd encourage you to include more (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Theater, Bookstore, and Park

(...) I love the witty descriptions for the Theatre - I just wish the bookstore and park were so annotated. But they are all fabulous designs. I love your interior detailing on both buildings. The movie theatre lobby has everything a patron could (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Pepsi building

(...) I'm willing to put money on the fact that there were several if not many pepsi logos done long before mine...however I happened to notice the black/pepsi logo building and mentioned it. My building/logo first appeared back last october...the (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

Car Ferry model leaves the dock

Ladies and gentlemen, cover your ears, the ship's whistle is about to sound.... OK, now we've got that out of the way, I am happy to say that I've at last finished the car ferry model I have been working on for months, and the pics are available on (...)   Re: Pepsi building

(...) How do we know? ... Um, he's that good! Chris can be imitated but never out innovated! Um, more seriously, we technically don't, except that I believe that someone in the same club as the black logo'ed building mentioned this one was more (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Pepsi building

(...) You know, just out of curiosity, how do we know that the black one wasn't made first? How come Chris' is the first Lego Pepsi logo ever attempted? Brendan (22 years ago, 26-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)
