  Re: Town Creations

Wow! The ray tracing really improves the looks! When I first started reading through the Lugnet stuff, I wasn't too interested in the LDRAW and ray-tracing stuff. I guess I really like the feel of true "plastic" in my hands. Anyhow, my insterest in (...) (25 years ago, 15-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

  RE: Lego Beach's Newest Acquisition

(...) (URL) of the enduring challenges of LEGO is not to make BIG trucks look real, but small trucks. Well done! I have a few of the old axle sets for cars and trucks that were built into the bottom of a 2x2 brick. They include reasonably realistic (...) (25 years ago, 14-Feb-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

Re: New Photos! Office Bldg with Electric Lights

(...) Thanks! Yeah, I bought one of the small Divers subs once a few years ago, solely to use the sides as laundry machines. I finally got around to building them. :) (...) Sounds like a good idea to me; thanks. I want to overhaul the interface (...) (25 years ago, 13-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: New Photos! Office Bldg with Electric Lights

Sean: (...) Is the laundromat made from pieces from the Divers subs? Play well, Jacob PS: Couldn't you arrange the images and commentaries as pages with links to the overview, and to the next and previous image? It's a bit annoying to have to go (...) (25 years ago, 13-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Christmas Parade

(...) -All the buildings except the rowhouses are facades. The rowhouses have all four walls, but they are still hollow. I plan to rebuild them deeper, with a back door and floors and a staircase, into a block of 5 or 6, with larger houses on the (...) (25 years ago, 12-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Town Creations

(...) I like the creative use of the Star Wars canopy as a shop window! Cool. I agree with Jacob that you should try to raytrace the scene, though. But if you use L3P/POV-Ray, it will probably need quite much memory to render since you have so many (...) (25 years ago, 12-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

Alan: [ LDrawn town at (URL) ] Nice! It's probably very difficult to get to work, but I think the antennae mast would look better as tilted columns, than as you have drawn it with "steps". You could also just make one single column of alternating (...) (25 years ago, 12-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Town Creations

Pretty cool I never considered using those Star-Wars style canopies as town windows, but you used them quite effectively. Hmm, maybe if I were a bit more creative, I could use more of those space parts in my town stuff. Alan Gerber (...) (25 years ago, 12-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)
