My first building for Brickton is complete.

Hello to everyone! This is my first post to lugnet I finally got my first MOC done. Please tell me what you think of it. (URL) a lot! Evan R. Brickton.net (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Say it ain't so...

(...) Which is fairly normal for the summer as stores clear out stock in anticipation for big pre-holiday orders. Summer is generally the slowest time for toys as there are no major gift-giving holidays. (...) Uh, pardon me for asking, but what rock (...)   Re: Say it ain't so...

(...) Hi Matt, I wholeheartedly sympathize with you. There are no classic style town, space, castle, or pirate sets to be found in the retail stores. It is both sad and annoying. (...) I completely agree with you on this. Why must Lego constantly (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, lugnet.castle, lugnet.town)

  Re: Say it ain't so...

(...) I view the 'Island Xtreme'Stunts as a subtheme of Town. They're about the closest Lego has come to producing old fashioned, 'System'-style city sets. Regards, Michael (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

  Re: Say it ain't so...

(...) Why is Island Xtreme Stunts not a Town subtheme? (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

  Say it ain't so...

Yeah, I knew this question was going to be asked sooner or later, so I guess I'll have to ask it now. You see, I took a trip to my local wal-mart the other day to pick up some school supplies (and hopefully some extra sets to stock up on), when I (...)   Re: Several new vehicle MOCs

*silence, with gaping jaw* Wow, a lotta stuff here. I'll save you the long version, which unfortunately includes a lot of gibbering -- here's the short version: Your semis -- The mirrors are really very clever. As are the little steps under the cab (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Several new vehicle MOCs

(...) I'd have to say this is my favorite of your new models. It's rare to see a motor home posted, (I remeber Mark Sandlin's Space Winnebago) and this one is very nice. Excellent details for a 4-wide intereior Do you actually own this motor home? (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Several new vehicle MOCs

Bill, nice work! Many many details. (...) I like this truck a lot, 6 wide....something I havent tried. Works great. I like the angled lights on the bottom of the trailer. (...) I am intrigued by this one. I have never seen a truck like that (or have (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Several new vehicle MOCs

(...) WOW!-those are some great vehicles! I especially like: "black 6-wide truck with refrigerated trailer" because of the use of pieces-the cab just really 'works' & it looks very sharp "deluxe Class C Motorhome" because of excellent use of tight (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.town)

  Several new vehicle MOCs

I've built a number of models recently that haven't shown up on the web until now. This is the first batch. Most of these are vehicles I created for the BayLUG town vehicle contest in June. (URL) black 6-wide truck with refrigerated trailer. (URL) (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town, lugnet.build)

  Re: Space Vehicles

(...) Agreed. Nice use of the curved pieces, and the Slave I canopy on the fire engine! (...) Disagreed, because by that measure a huge percentage of .space postings would also be .town. "Futuristic" tends to fall under .space's purview, if (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.town)

Re: New vehicles in my Brickshelf folder!

(...) (snip) (...) - Unfortunatly no. It's only 2-wide inside because of the slope in the back. (snip) (...) Thanks a lot! Pierre (22 years ago, 8-Aug-02, to lugnet.town)

Re: New vehicles in my Brickshelf folder!

(...) selective compression. However I haven't seen them with this type of bumper--the ones in California generally have a different style. The LEGO equivalent would be a stack of three 1x4 bricks with a 1x4 tile printed with diagonal stripes on it (...) (22 years ago, 8-Aug-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: New Road Plates

(...) Yay!!! At last, road plates wide enough for 6-wide or 8-wide cars & trucks!!! THANK YOU LEGO! --Bill. (22 years ago, 8-Aug-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.general)

Re: And now for something different

(...) Thanks! I'm working on another one now in green...and some of the parts in red don't exist in green! So expect a lightly different roadster soon! Joe Meno (22 years ago, 8-Aug-02, to lugnet.town)

Re: And now for something different

(...) I spotted it this morning roamin' on your site...and I am impressed and flattered:) Your 'uprate' is really cool! (...) Same goes for your car and your site! The roadster was the result of a lot of barnstorming with the parts (how can I do (...) (22 years ago, 8-Aug-02, to lugnet.town)

Re: And now for something different

Nice job! That roadster is really neat! -Terry (22 years ago, 8-Aug-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Space Vehicles

(...) I agree. I find the fire engine in particular quite lovely! (...) Indeed this style does remind us of such movies/comics, but I disagree about them being "Town." As far as I am concerned, anything *futuristic* can be considered "Space." That's (...) (22 years ago, 8-Aug-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.town)
