  Re: New building MOC

Those arched windows are pretty nice! I had to check them out for a while until I figured out how you did them. Out of curiosity, where did you get the brown arches? These buildings really capture the feel of some of the older buildings in NYC. Nice (...) (23 years ago, 7-Nov-01, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build)

  Re: New building MOC

Great Design Jonathan. Which corner is the new MOC and the other building on? I have to check it out sometime. I 've been trying to model some buildings from NYC, but that has been put on hold for now. Before everything happened, I was working on a (...)   Re: New building MOC

(...) Hi Cary, The only 1/2 stud use on the grey building was on the window sill of the arched windows. The first version of this building did have each 'level' separated by a 1/2 stud trim line, but I ran out of grey tiles so I made it a full stud (...) I like your effort a lot. Are the various brick insets on the building facade 1/2 stud? If so, how did you accomplish that? Cary (...) (23 years ago, 6-Nov-01, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build)

Re: A little strange about the Alpha Team Recall.

(...) The weekend after I heard about the recall, I went looking for set #6776 and was not able to find it at any of the following: Wal-Mart, Toys-R-Us, K-Mart, or Target. I happened to venture into a Zany Brainy and they had nearly 50. I couldn't (...) (23 years ago, 6-Nov-01, to lugnet.town)

  New building MOC

Hello, I finished the facade of a new building. I was inspired by a building on the corner of 6th ave & 15th street in NYC, and the end result looks nothing like the real thing. :o/ Either way, I am very happy with the way it came out, particularly (...)   A little strange about the Alpha Team Recall.

Last I heard, the Ogel Control Center was recalled. But I go to my local TRU and there they are. Then this weekend I get a TRU catalog in the newspaper and the OCC is featured as on sale right there in the book. Is there something I don't know about (...) (23 years ago, 6-Nov-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: How to build a special roof?

(...) For that you'll need <part:3049>, to go on the top where the ridge meets the main slope of the roof. There's a black one in the Guarded Inn, and red ones were available in a Santa figure many years ago. Jason J Railton (23 years ago, 5-Nov-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)
