    Elevated Subway pix —Jonathan Lopes
Hello, I have posted pictures of my "structure in progress" elevated subway to brickshelf. Please take a look if you get a moment & LMKWYT. Any ideas on how I could improve/add to it are welcome also. www.brickshelf.com/c...cgi?f=4462 Previous pix (...) (23 years ago, 9-May-01, to lugnet.town)

(...) Incrediable! It reaaly gives the look of the real thing. I love the staircase! Are those black 1x1 plates holding up the dark gray 2x4 plates? How sturdy is it? I've been looking for a solution to a similar problem. In the third pic the (...) (23 years ago, 9-May-01, to lugnet.town)

(...) yeah, black 1x1's, lego mosaic at work. The stairs are not that sturdy at all, unfortunately. (...) I noticed that as well, it is an illusion, though the table that my layout is set upon sags a little in the middle & is driving me nuts trying (...) (23 years ago, 9-May-01, to lugnet.town)

(...) Very nice. From the green and white train in this picture: (URL) I take that you are modeling Boston's El? Chicago's certainly is more well known, but you have done an excellent job of capturing the feel of El from my remembrances of the El in (...)           Re: Greenline: My first attempt at my own train —Jonathan Lopes
(...) Hi Bryan, Here they are. Aside from the mid-section I think it *looks* good, but there are many, many flaws as I'm sure you'll be able to see. www.brickshelf.com/c...cgi?f=4476 Enjoy & thanks for the feedback on my town!           Re: Greenline: My first attempt at my own train —David Eaton
(...) Yeah, the midsection is tough to design-- with 8-wide I got one that looks ok, but there are still some gaps here and there when turning... I guess Lego just wan't meant to bend like that :( You can see some great pictures of the actual Boston (...) (23 years ago, 10-May-01, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains)

Actually, there was discussion a while back abt Bostons Green line & that train is what resulted from those discussions, from me. (thats my first attempt at a train). The Station was (...)         Re: Elevated Subway pix —Brad Hamilton
That looks really great! I can't think of any obvious ideas for improvement off the top of my head. The station looks a little plain, but any ideas I might have for dressing things up would probably make it look less realistic. If you wanted more (...) (23 years ago, 10-May-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: Elevated Subway pix —Jonathan Lopes
(...) Thanks! (...) I wanted to keep it in line with the style of my buildings. I am thinking it will come to life with some signs & also when I populate it. I really appreciate you taking the time to look & comment. Thanks again, Jonathan (23 years ago, 10-May-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: Elevated Subway pix —Larry Pieniazek
(...) I think your city block rocks. LOVED all the details... My only comment is that it seems too clean and shiny. :-) You need some stickers with grafitti "tags" printed up... my impression of NYC is that every smooth surface seems to have been (...)         Re: Elevated Subway pix —Jonathan Lopes
(...) Thanks! My only comment is (...) Definetly a good idea & thats exactly the 'look' I am aiming for. I want it to look like what I see everyday....might not be everyone's idea of pretty, but thats the direction I want to go in. Thanks for the (...) (23 years ago, 10-May-01, to lugnet.town)
