Awhile back I posted a message on how to build a Lego mountain. One guy e-
mailed me with pictures of his styrofoam mountain. I was very impressed so I
followed in his footsteps. It is made out of styrofoam and took quite awhile
to build. I put on layer after layer until I reached the height I want.
Then, I clawed at the ridges so it has more of a sloped look instead of a
stepped look. I painted it today a dark brown with gray primer showing
through a little bit. It looks pretty good. It is much lighter outside,
though. In my Lego room it's pretty dark. I will probably put on some light
brown accents. On one side it reaches a smooth, flat area where there is
painted grass and the Rocky River Retreat. The rest extends upward to peak
out. The dimensions are 3 feet long, 2 feet wide, and about 2 to 2.5 feet
high. I took three pictures of it so if anyone is interested in what it looks
like now just e-mail me. I only need one more house to complete my suburb.
Then I will be painting the two tables and it should be completely done by the
end of July. After that, my project will be done for the time being. The
mountain is going to fit perfectly in the setting...wait and see! :-)

| Brendan, Please post some pictures somewhere I'd love to see them. I think I'm the one that showed you some pics of my styrofoam/plaster mountain. jt (...) (24 years ago, 3-Jul-00, to lugnet.town)
