Ok, check out the picture of the crane here <<img

Am I correct in thinking that the boom of that crane is not one piece but
actually something like 10 1x6x5 (?) cross-braced pieces placed in alternating
orientations with funky supports on the top and bottom?

If you zoom in, it looks like there are gaps visible between the sections.

Maybe this is obvious to others but I am not certain.

(...) I think you are right. A few others have noticed this as well. Check out the link I note in this post: (URL) Jonathan (16 years ago, 28-Aug-08, to lugnet.town)

Some intriguing stuff: (URL) I was thinking the other day that I'd like to see a bulldozer appropriately sized for minifigs. The one in this collection is a bit large but nice enough for a set. Jonathan (16 years ago, 20-Aug-08, to lugnet.town) !
