The spotlight/highlight system is what makes posts appear on Lugnet's frontpage
so that ppl. that normaly don't read the particular group get's a chance to see
it as well.
I'm made one of the Spotlights on your post as a fast way of saying: "Hey
that's a really good MOC, look here folks what Dennis has done!"
When I read news here at LUGNET I do it in this order:
- Check front page for new posts.
- Check every headline/short on every post until I reach old ones, except those
in groups I have choosen to filter out. Open the interesting posts in a new tab
(Mozilla as web reader).
- Read the interesting posts, answer to some and read the entire threads for
some.
- Read every new post in lugnet.technic and lugnet.loc.se to make sure I did
not miss anything.
- Check http://news.lugnet.com/folder.cgi?f=Spotlight/lugnet for new headlines
and read those. Everything on this page has got an spotlight or highlight by
others.
BTW I rally like your new truck Dennis, it's amazing how you could get all
those functions in there along with the looks. I hope I can do half as good
when I have been building twice as long :)

| (...) Just to clarify, for Dennis' sake, only LUGNET memebers can spotlight a post, and they have to be signed on. Also, the spotlighted .technic posts will appear in the .technic sidebar too. I've set it up that way :-) -TJ (22 years ago, 24-Jan-03, to lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.technic)
